Top 25 Wii Games

The Wii was released about 3 years ago, just a little over that. In the beginning, nintendo had an amazing lineup of games such as legend of zelda, paper mario, metroid smash bros etc. even some of the 3rd parties had some really good games that showed off the wii’s new innovative controls. but since then, nintendo just hasnt been pumping out many good games, sure they have an occasional one like the recently released mario bros wii but lets face it, mostly everybody’s wii now a days is simply sitting in your living room collecting dust as is mine, and people are playing xbox or ps3 for the amazing shooters that are being rleased like call of duty assassins creed and left for dead.

So what i’m leading into is to tell you guys about the top wii games that maybe some of them you havent heard of before, and some of these games could get you back into putting the good ol sensor bar on the top of your television set to good use. or this could even be an extension to the holiday buyers guide, these games could make some great gifts for children or people of all ages for that matter.

Super Mario Bros Wii

The next installment in Ninendo’s Super Mario Bros series was released today and it is for the Nintendo Wii, and it seems that it is a very solid Mario Bros. The multiplayer aspect of the game sounds fantastic. It received an 8.9 on the IGN scale which is a very high “Great” almost an “Outstanding”. 7.5	Graphics Very modest visuals: 3D characters, 2D backgrounds, with the occasional lighting effect.
8.0	Sound The Mario soundtrack has some great old favorites and some fun new ditties.
9.5	Gameplay Brilliant 2D platforming and challenges makes this the best of the 2D Mario best.
9.0	Lasting Appeal The multiplayer aspect makes this a game you’ll come back to again and again.

Also I haven’t made a post since Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 came out but if you haven’t seen it yet (which I’m guessing is .0000000001% of you guys out there), it is a fantastic game. Receiving a 9.5, Infinity Ward definitely put together another great masterpiece just like Call of Duty 4 was but 5 was not. Although it is great, with amazing story mode, and some of the best online multiplayer ever. Some people consider the care packages and the aerial attacks you receive after getting kill streaks, to be a little overpowering, along with the game catering to noobs a little more with NO recoil on any of the guns. Also the multiplayer is not without it’s glitches for example hit detection. But you should definitely give this game a buy!

Call Of Duty Modern Warfare 2 Is Almost Here!

Pretty much anyone who is a hardcore Call of Duty fan should know that Infinity Ward’s next installment of the popular call of duty franchise is only a couple days away, being released Tuesday, November 10th, 2009. Now there already have been a lot of stuff going around on the inter webs about multiplayer and perks, and even game play uploaded onto YouTube. the expectations are high and there is a TON of hype. the question is… will the game live up to all of this hype? I personally don’t think so, I’m not saying that it is going to be a bad game, it will be a decent/solid Call of Duty game but not anything extra special/amazing. Do you think Modern Warfare will live up to all of the hype?

Also, final update on TheSpeedGamers Resident Evil Marathon.  They reached their goal of 8,000 dollars towards diabetes research and wellness thanks to everyone who donated. The marathon is over and you can no longer donate but in December when they have their next marathon, they will likely pick another good cause to donate to, the marathon will be a 72 hour pokemon gotta catch em all marathon.  Starting December 18th which is about a month and a half away!

TheSpeedGamers Resident Evil Update

TheSpeedGamers Resident Evil Marathon that I mentioned last week is 40 hours in and has 8 hours to go. and as for the donations, their goal is 8,00 dollars and they are about 84% of the way there with 6,772 dollars.  even though the marathon ends tonight at 6pm (eastern time), the donations go until November 3rd. So if you havent been to TheSpeedGamers.com go there and watch the marathon maybe donate, because it is going to a good cause (diabetes research and wellness). even the smallest amounts will make a difference. and if they get past 8,000 dollars by the time you get there continue donating until November 3rd because all the money they can get can and will help, thanks!

Also I hope all of you guys had a great Halloween, I had a cross country meet early in the morning and finished 10th in the county so I was happy about that but afterwards exhausted, so my Halloween evening was spent at home handing out candy, most of you would say that is very lame that I didnt go out trick – or – treating or to homecoming, yes my schools homecoming week was this week and the dance was halloween night.
